Today was an impactful and meaningful day. We first started off touring around Har Herzl. During our tour we listened to a few stories about soldiers who sacrificed their life in war. After our visit at Har Herzl we went to the Yad Vashem: World Holocaust Center. At Yad Vashem we learned about what life was like during the Holocaust. Then, we went to the TJJ Jewish Journey Fair where all TJJ programs meet up to learn about gap year and birthright programs. We also had the opportunity to hear from Racheli Frankel, the mom of a boy who got kidnapped and murdered 7 years ago. I learned a lot about how she copes with losing her child while also finding the strength to share her story. Then we headed to Caliber 3 for military training which was super fun. Now we’re heading to our new place for Shabbos and can’t wait for our first latte and learn!
