Zakaiyah Gillom, girl in the middle, is going into senior year from Kansas.

Today we woke up to a beautiful sunrise from the view of our rooms from our new hotel in Jerusalem! We ate a yummy breakfast to get us ready to start our fun filled day! We started off by visiting the spot where the battle of David and Goliath took place to better understand the history of the Jewish people. Next we went to Machon Maayan to learn more about the seminar program for us girls to ponder about a gap year while the boys handmade tzitzit. Then we went to a light show covering the Independence War, that was very interesting to learn more about. Lastly, to end our day we went zip lining! I was most excited for this, a great way to end the day. We zip lined over some mountains and at the other side we rode in a huge jeep back to the other side! We then arrived back at our hotel, had a delicious dinner. To end the night we are playing human tic tac toe as a whole group! Cant wait for more days like today to explore and learn more. I feel I really connected when listening to the stories of the Independence War. When watching the film I saw and heard the pain they went through and felt very thankful for all they gave in their life so that we could have the beautiful land that we call home! I can’t wait to wake up and start our next amazing day!!
