This moring started off great. I got up early and got to see the sunrise. After breakfast and loading the bus, we headed of to the Cave of Mackpelah. When we got there, all of the advisors gave some backstory on who was buried there. Going to the tombs was a memory I don’t think I’ll forget. By the time we were done there we had just enough time to walk throughout the city of Chevron. We learned some amazing history and gave out snacks and drinks to the soldiers stationed there. Then we were off, on the bus again. This time everyone got some sleep in, it was a long ride, but it was worth it. When we got to Ancient Shilo, we got to eat, then learn the story of the Mishkan. We walked up this hill to get to the place that archaeologists believe is the place that the Mishkan was located, and we learned about Hannah’s (Chana’s) prayer. Hannah’s prayer, resonated with me because it was showing that there is more than one why to communicate with God. The last thing that we did befor dinner was going fruit picking. It was amazing, we picked raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries. You have to know how to find the ripe ones, then your set. When we got back we ate, had chaburahs (learning groups), and a night activity. We played musical chairs and had a lip sync battle, it was one of the funniest things of the day. But that brings us to the end. I can’t wait for more incredible, and exciting days.
