We started the morning with a raft-building competition down in the Kineret. We had to tie bamboo, barrels, and wooden boards together to create a raft, and try to paddle to the finish line first. Though my team preferred to blast Golden Boy rather than compete, it was fun to work together and swim in the sea afterwards. From there, we headed to Kfar Kedem to go back in time and experience life as it was in the olden days. We got to put on traditional clothing, learn about history, and make our own bread. My most favorite part of the day was getting to ride on a donkey. My partner and I named our donkey Yoni and had fun riding around with her. We even got donkey riding licenses! Afterwards, we all went our separate ways for the free weekend, with some TJJers going to see relatives and others stopping in Jerusalem for an exciting shabbaton. Today was definitely a memorable day!
